Contribute to NZstockphoto
If your images tell a story about contemporary New Zealand, we would love to hear from you.
Your application will need to include access to an online portfolio; this can be a website or Instagram link or an album link such as one created in Pixieset. Please note that submissions are reviewed on a quarterly basis; if you don't hear back from us straight away it may be that your application has been added to an upcoming intake.
FAQ
Does it cost to join?
Nope, it’s completely free. However, this doesn’t mean that your photos will be automatically accepted. The collection is carefully curated so that search results for our customers deliver nothing but premium-quality, beautiful New Zealand imagery.
What does ‘royalty free’ mean?
Royalty-free means that a licensee does not pay further royalties to the artist once the initial license has been paid for. However, there are some limits to how the Basic Licence can be used, and if a buyer requires greater freedom, a range of ‘extended’ licenses can be purchased.
Who owns the copyright on my images?
You do. You're basically utilising the NZstockphoto platform to license your work, so that people can use your images for marketing purposes.
How much do your contributors make?
Currently, we are offering our content exclusively in the Adobe Stock Premium Collection. Our artists receive 40% of every license sold after Adobe commissions. If you have 1000 images in your collection, you can expect that your income will be $3000-$5000.00 NZD annually.
How am I going to find people to take pictures of?
You can start by asking your family and friends, many people are willing to have photos taken of them if they receive a copy of the images in return. We also manage shoots for the library, we source and pay talent to help support photographers who are unsure of how to go about finding shoot opportunities.
How do I keep track of what images are sold?
A sales report will be available within your profile. This provides information on which images have sold and your commission for each. It also tallies the remuneration of sales.
NZstockphoto acknowledges the Māori as the tangata whenua of Aotearoa New Zealand, and we pay our respects to their elders, past, present, and emerging.
